Marvelous Darlings, along with Troubadour , Get Nuns, and Actual Water played a kick-ass show upstairs on January 26th! We’re you there? It was a very special evening because it was Marevelous Darlings first show in years they reunited and we were glad to play the host to such an event. We had a blast and man we miss these guys.

Vegan Torontonians rejoice! Longstanding Toronto institution Sneaky Dee’s Restaurant and Concert Venue has announced the addition of Daiya cheese to their kitchen, which means more vegan-friendly options on the already beloved Tex-Mex menu. Simply swap out traditional cheese from Sneaky Dee’s favourites such as the King’s Crown or Quesidillas with this new dairy and soy-free alternative.
Located at the corner of College St. and Bathurst St. Sneaky Dee’s has been a cultural staple of downtown Toronto for more than 20 years. Shrouded in music history, the likes of Broken Social Scene and The Arcade Fire have graced the stage with their presence upstairs while fans, locals, and not-so-locals have packed graffiti-splattered booths below. Hot off the tails of the announcement of their signature hot sauce line now available for purchase, (your choice of Cayenne, Jalapeno, Habanero or Chipotle for only $5 a bottle), Sneaky Dee’s is pleased to be offering Daiya cheese as vegan-friendly option to their devoted clientele.
With more options and diversity than ever before Sneaky Dee’s menu has a little something for everyone. Vegan items are highlighted below but remember any item on the menu can be altered to include Daiya cheese for no additional cost.

Last Friday was one hell of a night. Pissed Jeans, along with TV Freaks and Anagram played a sold out show and it got wild. This Penselvaniya punk band got the crowd going and rocked Sneaky Dee’s pretty hard. Overall, a kick-ass night! If you didn’t catch the show, you can read what you missed in this week’s round-up of reviews.
It’s hard not to love this big beautiful city we live in. From Kensington Market to the Waterfront, Toronto is beyond epic. Even living here for years, its easy to feel like a tourist. Everything (excluding Mayor Ford and the sewage smell) is really amazing. Do you agree or what?
We want to know what your favourite thing about Toronto is. Is it the art at College and Bathurst or the view from the top of the CN Tower? Whatever it is, where ever you find yourself at home in the city, tweet us a photo (@thesneakydees) and you could win one King’s Crown Nachos and a pair of tickets to Amsterdam Brewery. How much have you been loving The Destroyer Nachoes!? Created in honour of The Cancer Bats, these nacho’s seem to have everything including fries, gravy and cheese, covered in Sals Roja, piled high with frijoles, ground beef, tomatoes, onions, mixed peppers, jalepenos, more cheese, topped with guacamole & sour cream. Who knew this would be such a winning combination?
We specially created The Destroyer for a limited time only, except it seems like a some of you are hooked. If you don’t want to see them leave the menu, turn your attention to the right of the page and vote YES on the poll to add them to our menu forever! If you’re a true Destroyer fanatic you won’t want to see these disappear from our menu.
