Send Noobs – Fringe Fundraiser Gala

March 19, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Enjoy comedy while supporting comedy! It’s a Toronto Fringe Festival fundraiser gala for the comedic one act play An Atlas, A Necktie & Other Concerns written and directed by Lauren Greenwood. Four women with contentious histories become trapped in a mysterious escape room. If they don’t find a way to overcome their clashing views, they may never escape the space—or each other!

For your entertainment and enjoyment, we’re got a spicy hot mixed bag of awesome…

Chanty Marostica! They’re SiriusXM Canada’s Top Comic 2018 AND their first album The Chanty Show just got nominated for a flippin’ 2019 JUNO AWARD for Comedy Album of the Year. Get ready for a standup set that will give you a full core workout.

Ashley Cooper! She was nominated for Best Newcomer Comic for the I Heart Joke Awards 2018 and was voted Rising Star at the Brantford Comedy Festival AND she won the prize for Mom’s Favourite Daughter. Prepare for hilarity!

Karine Kazan, standup comedian, lawyer, tequila aficionado, bringer of laughs. She will make you wish you were her child! Don’t believe it? Check. Her. Out.

1623, this bonafide hilarious duo made up of comedy veterans Kat Letwin & Nkasi Ogbonnah smash theatre and sketch together into a ridiculous, history-adjacent journey. With a focus on spectacle, highly physical performance, and taking the mundane to absurd conclusions.

Shagina Twain will bring her voluptuous voice and fabulous form to the stage in a burlesque performance not to be missed! Follow her at @shaginatwain and Boylesque T.O. if you wanna sneak peak!

Janelle McGuinness, Second City Conservatory member, theatrical thespian and songstress extraordinaire will be performing a little ditty on her eukelele! Ear candy at its finest!

Von Stache (aka Jacob Hogan), almost Air Guitar Champion of Canada, makes his glorious return to the stage. While he’s not pounding beers and going fast, he’s having a good time and SO WILL YOU!

There will also be a raffle of epic proportions at this gala including such amazing prizes as…

— GRAND PRIZE: A free game for 6 adults plus 1 hour in the VIP room at The Imaginarium: Playground for the Creative Mind
